Fall is a beautiful time of year to get married. The leaves are changing. The night air is crisp and the afternoon sun is still warm. If you are lucky enough to live in an area with 4 true seasons then you can relate to this change. The Fall is a perfect time to get married. This is also the time to add a bit of the spirit of Fall into your planning. This article is just going to touch upon favors. Wedding favors are a great way to thank your guests for sharing in your special day. The following list is what we consider to be the ultimate Fall inspired favor.
Personalized Jam: The Summer has just ended leaving the opportunity to purchase fresh jam from summer harvest. Guests will love this idea. To bring in the essence of fall try to find fall flavors such as apple or peach. Canned apple butter is another great idea to give to guests.
Rustic Burlap Pouches: Fall is the perfect time of year to bring in rustic elements. Burlap is the essential rustic element that must be tied in. Consider purchasing personalized burlap pouches to wrap your favors in. Add a date so they will always remember your special day.
Fall Inspired Soaps: Soaps are a fun favor idea that not many think about. A great idea would be to give small soaps in the shapes of leaves. In addition the soaps having the scent of Fall would also be great. Try Pumpkin Spice or Apple Pie for a scent that is Fall inspired.
Caramel Apples: How fun would it be to give caramel apples to your guests. I, for one, would think that idea is genius! Caramel apples definitely scream fall. They are pretty, smell great and are absolutely delicious. This is also great for all the couple that left kids behind at home. To bring the kids back a treat from the wedding they attended would be fun for all.
Pure Maple Syrup: When I think of Fall I think of all the lovely scents in the air. One of being pure Maple Syrup. You can even create a personalized label for the small bottles that mentions your wedding details or a poem. This is a nontraditional idea that guests would love. It is also something that will be used…probably quickly!
Candied Pecans: Yum! Warm, homemade candied pecans not only smell great but taste even better. Perhaps rent a homemade cart with personalized candies peanut cones. Guests can grab a holder and fresh candies pecans before they head out to their car.
We hope some of our ideas can be useful when planning your Fall wedding. This is a time to make your wedding about you and your partner. Let your personalities shine through when creating your magical day.

Couples are married in many traditional locations most of the time. Churches, beaches, parks, and even Las Vegas are common wedding venues. If you’re looking for something different and exciting, then consider one of these unique options to help your wedding go from ordinary to extraordinary.
#1. Covered Bridges
There are covered bridges that can be found all over the world. Many date back to at least the 19th century, providing you with unique rustic warmth. Coordinate your wedding bands to reflect the history of the bridge for a very memorable event. Just remember to speak with local officials if the bridge is still active.
#2. On a Glacier
Glaciers are usually associated with the cold, but that doesn’t have to be the case with a summer wedding. Try Glacier National Park, the Cascades, and other locations in the Continental 48 as options outside of Alaska. Wedding bands with fiery diamonds offer the perfect complement to this wedding.
#3. Riding a Roller Coaster
A wedding by itself can be an intense thrill. If you want to kick things up a notch, consider having a wedding on a roller coaster. If you anticipate plenty of loops and upside down moments, consider postponing ‘the ring exchange’ until you get your feet back on the ground.
Forever Metals can help you find the perfect precious metals for a ring that signifies one of your most precious days. These unique wedding venues help to make that special day even more memorable than it already will be.
With Summertime dwindling down to its last days many are preparing for Fall. Fall is my favorite time of year. The evenings are cool and the leaves are changing. Fall is absolutely beautiful. Many couples feel Fall is the best time to plan a wedding. Here are our top tips for planning your special day during the Fall season.
Location: Depending on whether you have your wedding during early fall or late fall choosing a location to accommodate cooler temps is ideal. This is the perfect time of year to choose an indoor/outdoor locale as the days can typically be fairly warm. Heated tents are also a great feature. A heated tent will protect your guests from the elements including cooler air and rain.
Date: Set your date and send out those save the dates to your guest list. Remember to give people enough time to make arrangements especially if they have to travel. It is also nice to give ample time so people can schedule around your wedding without missing your special day.
Venue: Choosing a venue during fall offers many options. You can choose either an indoor or outdoor locale. This is the best time of year to also have a rustic theme. Some great ideas include a barn suitable for weddings or an area where guests can walk around and take in the beauty of the Fall season. Remember to book your venue at least 6 months in advance to ensure you have control over the date of your wedding. The longer you wait the possibility of losing out on your first choice becomes higher.
Photographer/Videographer/Music: Once your venue is booked and the date is set you should call around for the people who will monument the day. Talk to friends or look for reviews on wedding photographers and videographers. Usually already married friends and family is a great source for this. If other people have had a positive experience there is a great chance so will you. This is also the best way to find the music for your wedding. Do you want a DJ or have you always dreamed of a live band. This is the best time to check for reviews and start interviewing. The DJ or band is a key member of the wedding fun. You want the job performance to be top notch.
Invitations: Embrace the color of the fall. This is a great time to bring in that rustic elegance and use bold colors. Popular colors for Fall weddings include Burgundy mixed with pale pinks, golds and greens. This is also your time to shine. Create an invitation they will remember with bold colors that will really bring out the theme of the season.
Decor: The rustic theme for fall weddings seems to be the trend for 2014 and for first half of 2015. We have always found Pinterest is a great source for unique decor. Twinkling lights, canning jars, rustic wood and earthy flowers will make your day perfect and get people in the spirit of the season.
Food: Let the season influence your meal plan. This is a great time of year for comfort food. Hearty vegetables, turkey, pumpkin, butternut squash and warm rustic bread will be a delight to your guests.
Favors: Favors are a small token of appreciation to your guests that joined you on your special day. Fall themed favors can include potpourri, tea, nuts or a homemade cake mix are all great ideas.
Regardless of the rustic undertones of a fall wedding this is your time to shine. There is set guide to the colors chosen or what your guests will eat. Take this time and plan it carefully with your partner. This should never be a stressful experience. This should only be a time of love.

Getting married is an exciting time for couples. From choosing the decorations to planning the meal, there are many things to think about. One of the most important factors to think about is the time of year. If you are lucky enough to live in an area with four seasons you have a lot of options. There are benefits to getting married during any season. There is sometimes just as many disadvantages. Here is our list for getting married through the seasons.
Pros: The Sun is shining and the air is warm. Who doesn’t love this type of weather? The colors are bold and there is many decoration options. There is also so many color schemes to choose from. The summer is the best time to choose a colorful palette. A popular choice is earth tones mixed with bright colors found in the elements.
Cons: Getting married during summer may also mean the air is hot and humid. Summer may also mean rain which brings in even more humidity with bugs. Many guests may not favor these conditions. If you are hosting an outdoor wedding than people may be concerned with the heat and how the humidity will affect their hair.
Another thing to think about when planning a summer wedding would be the locations. Many places book out early so it is best to leave enough time to book the venue of your dreams.
Pros: The fall is a beautiful time of year. The nights are beginning to cool and the leaves are changing colors. This is the best time of year to host a wedding with rustic elements. Using earth tones mixed with reds, burgundy and greens are a beautiful choice. The humidity is out of the air so having an outdoor these could be perfect choice to host a wedding.
Cons: The weather is typically ideal however the evenings could be cool. When having an outdoor themed wedding it is best that there is an area where guests can be comfortable whether indoors or out.
The fall, just like summer, is a popular time to get married. It is best to choose your locale months in advance to have your wedding on the date you and your partner have chosen.
Winter Wonderland Weddings
Pros: The Winter can be a magical time to get married. The spirit of the Holidays is in the air. The decorations are beautiful and the colors are bold. This is a beautiful time of year to get married. This is also the best time of year to have a wedding with plenty of twinkling lights and have your family near.
Cons: The Winter tends to be the busiest time of year for families. There is also a lot of Christmas parties which means a family member may have to choose between a wedding or a party. The winter also means a lot of money is being sent on buying gifts and food for the Holidays. This means that family members may not have the extra money in their Holiday budget.
Pros: The Spring is a beautiful time of year to get married. The air is beginning to warm and the flowers are in full bloom. This is an ideal time to host an indoor or outdoor wedding. Having a wedding this time of year is also refreshing for those that are ready to come out of hibernation and welcome the food, family and fun.
Cons: April showers bring May flowers. For as beautiful as spring is, it takes a lot of rain to get there. If you host a spring wedding make sure you have an indoors back up as the weather is extremely unpredictable.
