Tungsten Carbide Composition: 84% of
tungsten and 16% of carbon and nickel (No cobalt):
Tungsten Carbide is referred to as
the engagement band that is permanently polished. Tungsten carbide is the
most durable ring anybody can purchase. Tungsten and Carbide powders are
forged together to form rings that are indestructible and scratch proof.
Then they are polished with a diamond compound, resulting in a polish and shine
that will last forever. Tungsten is the perfect combination of
unbelievable strength with style and comfort. Tungsten carbide is 10 times harder than 18k gold and four times harder than
titanium. For metal appearances please check out our
True Color page.

CP Grade Titanium Composition: Commercially Pure Titanium
T1 & T2
Titanium is a grey metallic element used for its strength and lightweight
properties. Titanium has strength and durability and has an incredible
resistance to corrosion. Titanium has replaced stainless steel,
copper alloy, and other metals for its abundance and price.
Titanium has the
highest strength to weight ratio of any known element. With jewelry,
titanium’s light weight translates into comfort. Titanium being inert exhibits exceptional resistance to a broad range of corrosive
attacks by saltwater, gases, acids and
alkalis or any body chemistry. Titanium is immune to microbiologically influenced corrosion and is
physiologically inert. Forever Metals commercially pure (CP) titanium is 100% hypoallergenic
and allergy free and will not produce skin irritation or discoloration. Titanium is virtually non-magnetic,
making it ideal for applications where electromagnetic interference must be
minimized. Pure titanium is about as strong as steel yet nearly half the weight.
Titanium’s outstanding strength-to-lightweight ratio and its incredible
resistance to most forms of corrosion have been the primary historical
incentives for utilizing titanium in the industry, replacing stainless steels,
copper alloys and other metals. Titanium is the perfect marriage of art
and science.

Stainless Steel Composition:
316L: 0Cr14Ni9Mo2
Forever Metals stainless steel rings are made for their durability,
their workmanship, and their unique look. If your interested in a Tungsten ring without the carbide composition,
then a stainless steel ring has the characteristics you are looking for. Forever Metals has crafted their
stainless steel rings with 316 hypoallergenic surgical grade stainless steel. The unique look
will not hold up as well as Tungsten Carbide or will not have the light weight
to hardness ratio that titanium has, however stainless steel does have a unique
look that will last Forever. For the cost, a stainless steel ring may be a
practical choice. Perhaps not necessary a wedding band, but a graduation
or a groomsman gift would be suitable for this type of ring, which will last a
lifetime. Check out some of the unique shapes and cuts.

Platinum 900 Composition: 90% platinum and 10% iridium
Platinum, gold and silver sacrifice style and function to reduce weight
and costs. Platinum is a very stylish metal that is harder then gold making it for many a symbol of
enduring love. Platinum is not mixed with the lesser metals then that of gold,
so therefore platinum is safer for those with allergies. Platinum is the
most valuable alloy even more so then gold because it is more rare, harder, and
more resistant then other alloys. Like gold,
platinum does not corrode or tarnish. Platinum is most often mixed with
other alloys in order to create jewelry. The most commonly used alloys for
platinum are palladium, rhodium and iridium.
GOLD
Composition:
18kt yellow gold -
75% gold + 12.5% silver + 12.5% copper
18kt white gold - 75% gold + 5% copper + 15% nickel + 5% zinc
18kt rose gold - 75% gold + 5% silver + 20% copper
18 karat White Gold
-
A hot trend because it coordinates with both silver and platinum jewelry, yet is
cheaper than platinum.
18 karat Yellow gold
- The most traditional of metals; for many gold is a symbol of the warmth and
love of a marriage. Look at the mark inside the band to see what quality the
gold is - usually 14k, 18k, or 24k. While 24k is the most pure, it is also the
softest.
Gold
Karat refers to the purity of the gold. 24 karat gold is 100% pure, 18
karat gold is 75% pure gold. 24 karat gold is too soft for inlaying and
tension setting into jewelry, so therefore Forever Metals must alloy silver,
nickel, copper, and zinc into our gold to harden the gold to make it the perfect
combination of beauty and
hardness. 18 karat gold is what is used in all our jewelry which is a
harder substance hence preventing surface scratches as seen in other pure gold
jewelry. Yellow, white and rose 18 karat gold colors are created by using
different alloy measurements.
Sterling Silver
Composition: 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper alloy
Pure 100% silver looks bright white
and is extremely soft. To enhance its beauty and durability, the vast majority
of fine silver jewelry is made of sterling silver, which is composed of 92.5%
silver and 7.5% copper alloy.
Zirconia Ceramic Ring
Composition: Zirconia ceramic powder and cementing agents
Mixing Zirconia ceramic powder and
appropriate amount of cementing agents creates beautiful ceramic rings.
Ceramic particles injected into sealed moulds and then condensed through high
temperature sintering creates the core ceramic ring. Treatment after
sintering and then processed into finished product through the laser cutting and
other high precision machinery. Ceramic rings are very hard and don't
scratch as easily. The ceramic ring is a lot like Tungsten Carbide ring in
that it is scratch resistant against most materials, however the ceramic ring
will crack and smash if heavily abused.
Ceramic rings come in three colors:
Black color, white color and pink color.
Precious Gems
Composition Default: Synthetic Cubic Zirconium

 |
Gemstones offer unique array of
vibrant colors for a long lasting wedding ring. Their rarity, durability
and hardness make them very desirable and valuable. While softer stones can be
beautiful, they aren't the best choice for a tungsten, titanium, or stainless
steel ring. Hard metal rings require hard gems do to the tension setting
involvement of the gem. The Mohs scale registers a stone's ability to resist abrasion; 10 (diamonds)
being
the strongest and 1 (talc) being the weakest. Anything less than a Mohs scale 7 is
not adequate for our tension setting processes. Generally speaking, the
purest and most vivid color gems can be the most expensive. Forever Metals
recommends limiting your selections to rubies, sapphires and diamonds. |
A potential buyer can supply their
own stone to be set in any Forever Metals ring? Most of our rings specify a
round cut, 1.5 mm in diameter, with the quantity of gems
required to set the ring. Forever Metals is not responsible for
loss or stolen packages. Please insure and track your package.
Forever Metals will set any gem, however we don't guarantee the gem from cracks
chips when placing the gem. Gems hardness must scale and must be strong
enough to withstand the tension setting. The 4Cs: carat, clarity, color
and cut are what to look for when purchasing a gem, please assume all
responsibilities with gems purchased and delivered. Please purchase your
high quality diamonds from reputable dealers. Most second hand dealers,
even the large companies, skew their certifications slightly to earn your
business.
