COLOR FINISHES

Forever Metals offers many different types of finishes that all reflect the appearance of a ring differently.  Forever Metals offers finishes such as polished, brushed, satin, matte, sandstone, sand blasted, peened, hammered or Florentine.  Forever Metals will craft your ring to your specifications even if you select a two tone finish to offer finish contrast without the high cost of an inlay for your ring,  The inside finish of a ring will always be polished carefully for best comfort.

Forever Metals Tungsten Carbide rings very rarely accrue scratches, so a polished finish will stay polished for the life of the ring unless the ring undergoes rough handling from abrasion from diamonds or corundum.  Stainless Steel and Titanium metals can acquire minor surface scratches or scuffs in the course of everyday wear or from rough handling to a higher degree then that of Tungsten Carbide.  Many of the finishes below will resist and hide the imperfections of fine scratches.

If ring scratches become too apparent, the simple refinishing operation will restore them to virtually new brilliance.  Forever Metals will refinish all our rings for a minimal fee plus S&H (Please read our warranty policy).  A Forever Metals ring, no matter which finish you prefer, will not tarnish or rust.

BLACK / BLACK ICE - We do offer a Black color titanium, tungsten, & stainless steel.  The black color titanium's composition is our commercially pure titanium, plus a carbon dioxide is filled in to make a chemical reaction.

ANODIZED IP COLOR - IP coloring involves neither paint nor pigment.  Coloring characteristics of Tungsten, Titanium, or Stainless Steel rings lies in their refractive abilities to inherent oxides.  Inheriting oxides is a technological process of IP coloring the metal by applying heat or electricity (colors are directly related to time and voltage) which unleashes its refractive property by inducing various oxide thicknesses on the material surface.  Oxides include the introduction of oxygen, nitrogen or carbon dioxide which fill to form different colors.  The oxidation causes an optical interference with a purity and vivacity introducing colors such as rose, 18K gold color, 20K gold color, black, coffee, and rainbow luminescent colors.  Metals that don't oxidize to particular colors may be plated with titanium then introduced to oxygen, nitrogen or carbon dioxide to form different oxidized colors.  Plating allows for absolute control and consistency from one part to another.

ANODIZED IP COLOR

Tungsten Carbide Ring with shell inlay (Black, Abalone, Yellow, White, Blue). Many ancient rulers considered shells as luminous gemstones symbols of love, union and purity. Shells have represented perfection and completeness and early Christians described the Holy Grail as being embellished with pearls to give the holy water in the cup magical powers. Color of shell is usually white/gray/silver. Forever Metals carries many other colors yellow/gold/green, brownish/black coral, or a blue/white shell.

The shade or the tone of pearl is a transparent color, that can be seen when the light hits the surface of the inlay. It creates a specific luster inside the pearl which usually illuminate a pink, silver or blue color. Different colored pearls have been know to have their own mythical lore such as finding love, learning to become prosperous, becoming wealthy, and earning fame and success.

Wood Appearance Inlays - The properties of the inlay is a new material that is made of organic

macromolecule complex material.  Forever Metals calls it MG64.  It can be like mokume gane, wood and rock, etc..

TEXTURE FINISHES

Polished

Polished  POLISH / ULTRA MIRROR POLISH - Polished finish is commonly referred to as a mirror finish.  Almost mirror reflective, your reflection is certainly there sharp and crisp.  This finish can be compared to white precious metal reflections in which they are highly polished.

Brushed

Brushed  BRUSH / SATIN / MATTE - Brushed finish, Satin finish, & Matte finish are finishes of the same.  These finishes are texturing techniques used on jewelry metals where a series of tiny parallel lines are scratched on the surface with a wire brush.  Though these finishes differ on many different websites, Forever Metals has combined these finishes to represent a single finish with a visible directional texture that is more subdued, metallic with a less reflective look.  This finish reflects light differently than the polished finish and is less bright in appearance.

Sandstone

Sandstone  SANDSTONE / BEAD BLAST - Sandstone is much like the brush / satin / matte texture, however it is much more coarse.  With a mizzi wheel, a rough looking but very lustrous finish is applied.  This texture feels and looks like a soft grit piece of sandpaper.  It reflects light differently then any of our other polishes.

Florentine Cross Brush

Florentine Cross Brush  FLORENTINE / CROSS BRUSH - Florentine cross brushing is a finish with a textured surface for metals created by engraving a series of parallel lines in one direction, then cross-hatching them at a 90 degree angle more lightly than in the first direction.   A Florentine finish is a crosshatched pattern, tooled into the surface of metal.  The lines are often coarser and more deeply incised than that on a brushed finish.

PEENED HAMMERED

PEENED HAMMERED  PEENED / HAMMERED - Small peens in the finish gives the appearance like a golf ball, however the divots are much smaller in size and can't be easily felt with human touch.
